Cool Sunday

Hi,

I woke up late not expecting anyone to play cricket today and didn't do much; just sat watching tv. I noticed a missed call from Gullu, me still unsure of cricket. While ammusing "could it be that everyone has already reached ground", my phone rang up, it was Bhallu and we decided that we'll assemble in ground by 10:00. As usual i started out around 10:00 fearing of being the last one to bat. Finally reached mamu's house to find Prabhakar waving and Bhallu trying to pump air into the football. I stayed back to surprise bhallu, but it took them a full 10 minutes to pump it up and by the time all my enthu was over. Found out that some guys have occupied the ground and won't be leaving soon so after reaching the ground we played football for a while and waited for them to finish off. Meanwhile Prabhakar tried a vain attempt to return home but failed and Mirza finally made it after having a long tea with his friend.
We started our game around 11:40 and decided to play match by dividing ourself into teams. Me, Bhallu, Mirza and Prabhakar were facing Gullu, Mamu, Murali and this new guy. After some thinking Gullu's team decided to bat based on the conclusion that they were good at defending. Mirza decimated half of their team and Mamu's attempts to put up a good total went futile when he got out with his trademark square-shot™. A target of 13 runs in 12 overs was easy for us and we won. The second match was a bit different with scale tilting on both sides. We chose to bat this time and Prabhakar thrashed them all around the park setting up a target of 37 which looked good compared to their previous score. Murali saved the day for them by hanging in there and scoring runs regularly, luck did favour him thrice. Result: we lost and Murali became man of the match ;-) and according to our team tradition; man of the match pays for the treat at maradugu. Freshened up, took lunch and slept after returning from play at 3:30. Nothing special in the evening; slept early.
